Brown County Violent Crime Statistics - 2012 through 2016
A recent article discussed the national trend of violent crime increasing and focused on how violent crimes in the Green Bay area have decreased.
Captain Runge of the Green Bay Police Department stated, "I've been here for more than 30 years, and things have changed. Our community has changed, but what hasn't changed is that compared to the rest of the nation, we are extremely safe and low crime rates."
The articles also state that violent crimes (listed below), such as: rape, robberies, and aggravated assaults in our area are down 13 percent over the past 6 years.
The below statistics were obtained from the Wisconsin Department of Justice and outlines the amount of violent crimes from 2012 through 2016.
